Byte Night the IT industry’s annual sleep out in support of Action for Children

Workbooks signs up to support Byte Night Thames Valley Friday 4th October 2013 Time: 6.30pm Where: Forbury Gardens, Abbot’s Walk, Reading, RG1 3HW

Workbooks, an award winning British CRM provider, has announced its support for the Byte Night’s annual IT charity event in support for Action for Children.

A team of Workbooks staff will sleep outdoors for a night at the Thames Valley Byte Night event, taking place on the 4th of October this year, roughing it in aid of homeless children in the UK.

Byte Night is the IT industry’s annual sleep out in support of Action for Children. Each year, hundreds of individuals and teams from across the technology and business community spend a night exposed to the elements in a bid to raise sponsorship and awareness of Action for Children’s work to help prevent youth homelessness.

Ian Moyse, Sales Director at Workbooks and a Thames Valley Byte Night Board Member, commented: “In the IT industry we often take for granted what we gain from the lucrative market sector that we work in. This is a chance to give something back and make a meaningful contribution to a worthy cause. We will be asking all our customers, business partners, suppliers, colleagues and contacts to donate to show support for the valuable work this charity does.”

The Workbooks sleep out team will be led by two Workbooks directors John Cheney, CEO, and Penny O’Rourke, Services Director.
