On the 1st birthday of The Berkshire Blog, 4th July, I figured it would be a great idea to host our first Themed Day 😉
A hot topic & totally logical one for us to cover is “Generating Business Online”
I’ve already lined up a TOP KEYNOTE Speaker, one that really knows this topic… has written plenty of books on the subject… lectures at Universities… is invited to talk on the BBC & ITV… gets 40,000+ uniques a month that visit almost 10 pages each… how do your stats look in comparison to this? So it’s an absolute bonus that Graham Jones can also tell a great story!
I just need to get a few sponsors on board so I can book the venue… here’s more about the Slow Business Networking Themed Days… if you’d like to be a sponsor then call me 07717 820823.
Slow Business Networking Themed Day
Generating Business Online
Slow Business Networking Themed Days are aimed at professionals who like to discuss ideas and learn from fellow professionals in a convivial environment. Slow Business Networking is about taking your time and not rushing around and so we cap these events at 100 attendees.
People do business with those they know, like & trust. Our Slow Business Networking events allow those in the room to get to know each other better before, during & after the event. Priced to ensure only professionals attend, we want to give everyone the opportunity to connect with everyone else at their own speed.
Those who prefer to remain anonymous and circulate their way don’t need to submit a “Case Study of Greatness” or indeed vote for entries, they can simply quietly enjoy the day.
Others will be “loving” the idea of giving a presentation to the audience… we create an environment where all will be happy and get what they want from the day.
We’ll start with a KEYNOTE speaker of note who will attract attendees from far & wide… Graham Jones, Internet Psychologist taking about “What does 50,000 unique visitors a month mean for business?” or similar, yet to be finalised but Graham has an amazing pedigree, got take a look…
All attendees pay £97 to attend the day and are invited to submit a 20 minute presentation, a “Case Study of Greatness” they would like to give to the audience.
Selection is made by fellow attendees voting for those they would like to hear at the event… cut off will be 2 weeks before the Themed Day, on the 20th June, so the presenters can prepare thoroughly.
Those that submit an entry will be provided with a list of those who voted to hear their presentation so they can follow up with those interested to know more before, during or after the Themed Day. The top 2 are guaranteed a presentation slot, and there will be a playoff, during the day, for a 3rd slot!
Consider how much it costs to advertise in a magazine & how many actually read it… £97 is peanuts for this opportunity… so that’s why we’ll put up the price as we get closer to the event, on Friday 16th May we’ll up the ticket price to £147! This will encourage early entry…
Sponsors get to take part in a Mini EXPO before the KEYNOTE, while attendees are turning up, and at the end of the day when the professional networkers show their stamina!
There is room for half a dozen sponsors:
Sponsor A : 12:30pm slot : £1750
Sponsor B : 1:45pm slot : £1500
Sponsor C : 1:30pm “Food for thought” slot : £1250
Sponsors D, E & F : £1000
All the sponsors get to take part in the Mini EXPO and have an entry for the “Case Study of Greatness” & 2 places for the event included in the price. We will ensure all attendees are personally approached about each sponsor & any interest in knowing more shared directly before the event so contact can be made before, during and after the Themed Day.
Making for not just a perfect day but perfect marketing campaign… I know, where do you sign up 😉
