Introduction to Mindfulness Workshop

Is your life taking you on a roller-coaster ride? Do you feel unproductive a lot of the time because your mind is wandering? Would you like to regain some control over your mind and body?

Mindfulness is the art of being present in the here and now. This taster course will introduce you to the scientific and testimonial evidence of mindfulness, a number of best practised mindful techniques, plus a number of our own special additions to really give you a taster of our courses.

There will be various exercises requiring you to wear loose comfortable clothes.

This taster session comes with a downloadable CD with 3 mindful meditations.

After 14 years in leadership roles within the public/private sector, Deborah has set up ID-Choices Ltd, a company offering talent management, business and executive coaching and mindful-based cognitive training programmes. She is a recognised Business Coach for the Growth Accelerator programme for high growth SMEs.

As the Chief Executive of Business Link she was responsible for several major change programmes. These included the merging of seven organisations’ CRM databases; leading three organisations through a £60 million bidding process: and maintaining high performance throughout the company in the face of redundancies and a TUPE scenario to a major corporate organisation. Most recently Deborah has led the establishment of the Thames Valley Berkshire Local Enterprise Partnership as Business Director.

Deborah is an accountant by profession and spent her early years in major corporate businesses in London. She then undertook a series of financial management consultancy roles, entrepreneurial training assignments with small businesses for seven years running her own business.

Deborah has a Psychology and Law degree from Keele University, an MBA from the University of Bath and was previously a Fellow of the ACCA. She is a Director of a local charity, Chair at Reading College, a Governor of Oxford and Cherwell College; a Fellow of the RSA and a Chartered Member of the British Psychological Society. Her interests are walking, travelling to different continents; mindfulness, yoga and cooking.

Deborah’s goal’s is to unlock talent, potential and personal value to achieve community, organisational and individual excellence. She specialises in coaching executives and senior managers to promote their profile, performance and their personal happiness.
