Not sure I’m all in on that word paddlers… I’m preferring slayer since we’ll be out to beat the rest… y’ha, ha, haarrgghhh 😉
ARE YOU A DRAGON BOAT SLAYER?
The competition will comprise of at least 3 races per team… crews are 8-10 strong & squads can be larger… so some of our team will be happy doing just one race, others will want to be in every race.
The Rotary Club of High Wycombe have kindly provided me with a Dragon Boat in order to raise funds for our ONE BOAT PROJECT, which is about working with local Rotary Clubs to generate £500 from each club to pay for ONE BOAT for villagers in the Philippines…
The Rotary Club of High Wycombe is raising money for Kids in Sport, The Lily Foundation and other Rotary Charities and so the first £250 we raise between us goes to these causes.
With the next £500 paying for ONE BOAT… the balance will then be donated to Longridge Activity Centre in Marlow who do great work with local kids & those from further afield, much of this based around the water.
Longridge lost a much of their equipment during the Thames floods this winter and need all the help they can get to continue the great work they do… so anything over £750 will go to Longridge.
Come and join us for a fabulous day of fun and entertainment for all the family at Eton Dorney, Court Lane, Dorney, Windsor, SL4 6QP. Entrance £10 per car to include parking, programmes and free children’s fairground rides.
