An early birthday present for Queen Elizabeth II, who’s birthday is on Monday 21st April… at 12pm today there was a 21 gun salute on the Long Walk, just outside Windsor Castle…
(If you are fan of the Queen you’ll enjoy the video at the end of this blog… read on…)
I first read about it when I was reviewing my @windsordaily tweets and spotted one by The MacDonald Windsor hotel… thanks guys…

I was expecting to see 21 big guns & soldiers all down the Long Walk… where are they? But when we got up close we were greeted by 21 local kids with mini cannons š
Imagine how much room they would have needed for a real salute!
Obviously, as all kids do, once that game was over they were off, leaving the grown ups to tidy up!
Happy birthday your Majesty…
The kids shot off their cannons, the grown ups dug deep and bought her a couple of greys… she likes horses…
And Daisy Duck was integral to the fund raising for the nags above…
Over the Easter Weekend Windsor council has organised an Easter Egg hunt for the kids… get along to the tourist information…
Here is my favourite & only video of Her Majesty during her Jubilee Walk around Windsor
Thank you.
