How to Use LinkedIn Workshop

On the 23rd May 2014, between 10am & 12pm, we’ll be hosting a “How to Use LinkedIn Workshop” at Keen Dicey Grover in Iver, SL0 9BH for 6 local business owners… care to join us?

LinkedIn is an incredible resource for business owners looking for opportunities because it manages to maintain the interest of busy professionals, ensuring millions of business owners & corporate professionals visit on a regular basis to see what’s going on…

Some will just use it as a repository for their CV, missing the opportunity for making new connections.

Others will engage in groups, sharing their wisdom with those that choose to listen.

For me, while I have created a couple of groups & do engage in there, I use LinkedIn to find people in companies that might have a need for what my clients have to offer… by reviewing profiles & finding out more about a potential client, I can work out how best to approach them and start a conversation… that’s why I describe myself as an “ICE BREAKER”, saying hello to strangers so you don’t have to!

Gareth Davies Gareth Davies FCA of Keen Dicey Grover, Chartered Accountants in Iver, is looking for more new business owners & those running more established companies, who are looking for a new accountant. Someone who knows how to ensure you are maximising your tax position fairly, without taking any silly risks, ensuring your actions will not come back to bite you on the proverbial bum! A nice chap, who takes pride in his profession while at the same time charging a fair price for the work he undertakes.

He happens to have a meeting room at his offices in Iver where we can host 6 visitors and coach you in the art of “How to Use LinkedIn”.

I have vast experience in the world of online marketing and have built one group on LinkedIn to nearly 2500 local Berkshire businesses… this has taken some time… so I have “the school of hard knocks” experience which I am happy to share with you.

This is not so much a “which button do I press” guide to LinkedIn as that really needs to be a 121 training session by someone with far greater patience than myself… but more of a sharing of ideas of how I make the most of LinkedIn… this does not mean you need to have a complete profile, or have even explored LinkedIn, you may be a bit of a technophobe, get that…

My aim is to help you see if LinkedIn is a place where you should spend some more time and if it is, then it would well be worth your while attending my friend Mark White’s workshop where he spends 4 hours going through in real detail, how the whole platform works…

The workshop will be from 10am while 12pm… the first hour will be me sharing my experience & the second hour, after a brew, will be answering questions from the six people in the room about their specific opportunities… we’ll all benefit from that process as we drill down…

Should be fun… book your place…

We can only host 6 at a time, this being our first event, so please apply below & we’ll be in touch shortly… the plan will be to host further events sponsored by Keen Dicey Grover should this one prove popular.

Thank you.
