On Wednesday 30th April, nearly 400 people enjoyed a day’s racing at Ascot while making generous donations to The Prince Philip Trust Fund…
The sun was shining & the sky was blue when Prince Edward arrived to open proceedings and it stayed glorious the whole day… sorry, that’s Goodwood 😉
On arrival Prince Edward was greeted by the Mayor & those who had helped organised the day including Mrs Tui Panter… go check out many more pictures of the day on Maureen McLean Photography…
Kevin M. McGarry, M.V.O. Trustee & Secretary of The Prince Philip Trust Fund explained to those present how the Trust has distributed over £1,000,000 since being founded in 1977, Her Majesty The Queen’s Silver Jubilee year.
Rotarian David Shaw helped by Interactors from Windsor Girls School led the way to the tree of hope, raising thousands into the bargain…
Guests enjoyed a 3 course lunch in the Pavillion which was followed by the main auction, raising thousands more as the wine flowed freely…
I was asked, in my Rotary capacity, to create a PowerPoint Presentation & manage the Silent Auction adding handsomely to the total with 15 quality prizes!
I missed most of the racing but managed to get 3 bets on the Tote which promptly lost their way out of the starting gate!
A most enjoyable day…
Thank you.
