Denis Blandford Christmas Cards are selling out all over Windsor… he’d be so chuffed!

I called into Christ Church URC yesterday, looking for Crowd Patch projects to get my teeth into and they were having a Christmas card sale… where 70% goes to the named charity… and many charities were represented. I spoke to Heather, who I met around the same time 15 years ago, her & my wife shared a ward when our sons were born… she said they had some lovely Christmas scenes of Windsor Castle with children playing outside but they’d all sold out… I said, what by Denis Blandford and she said “Why yes, the very same, they are so popular!”

I popped up to the Museum at The Guildhall where Denis presented the picture above to HRH Prince Philip to commemorate our MG Rally & his 90th birthday… the Duke is an honoury member of our Windsor & Eton Rotary Club which has organised a few car rallies over the years… and bought their last packet 😉

We’d done some e-cards together… this one for Parkinsons… they loved it…

I hosted an event which we broadcast online in real time from The Firestation theatre in Windsor at which he sketched these head shots of those that gave the presentations and I used for a year or so as my head shot across my channels…

Good old Denis, he produced the I Love Windsor logo and would have been all over Crowd Patch with me, creating humorous cartoons to bring the stories to life…

Sadly missed by everyone who knew him…
